"Wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer check box" is not displayed in the Advanced settings of Scheduler window

I used TI2014 on the UEFI-based PC, and found the "Wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer check box" is not displayed in the Advanced settings of Scheduler window.
So I can not specify not to wake up the sleepimg PC by the scheduled backup task.
On the MBR based PC , the following checkboxes are displayed;
1)Run the backup only when the computer is idle
2)Prevent the computer from going to sleep/hibernate
3)Wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer
But on UEFI based PC, the second "Prevent the computer from going to sleep/hibernate
" does not exist, and so I can not specify my PC does not wake up while sleeping by the backup task!
Please advise how to solve and make my PC not to wake up while sleeping.

I have the same issue; "Wake up sleeping/hibernating computer" isn't available on my Microsoft Surface 3 with Windows 8.1 running Acronis 2014 Premium. My power plan is the default of "Balanced (active)."
The backups doesn't start when I wake up the computer either even though under Missed backup I have "Run at system startup with delay (0)" checked. I have to manually start the backup each time. What is the solution to getting the "Wake up..." item displayed and is this the solution to the backup not starting when I wake up the computer?

I would look at the specifics of the Balanced power plan and see if there is some settings changed which prevents it from going to sleep or from hibernating.

In the Advanced settings for Power Options, "Balanced" has this list. There are two other plans; Power Saver and High Performance. Is appears that I can change the settings or create custom plans but all the setting that are available are in this list. Windows 8.1 has a much shorter list than my Windows 7 Pro. Window 7 has a submenu on Sleep with Allow wake timers which my desktop has set to Enable.

The fact that Acronis doesn't begin backup even when I wake up the computer after it missed a scheduled backup implies to me that it has issues with Windows 8.1. The issues might be specific to my Surface tablet which is brand new.

This BIOS is a possibility. But consider that there are two failure modes: 1) Acronis won't wake up the computer if asleep and 2) Acronis won't start when I wake it up from sleep or turn it on after it has missed a scheduled backup. This is the same task and the same settings as on my other three Windows 7 computers (weekly backup at 6am Sunday) and they all will start when I turn on the computer at perhaps 7am Sunday.
It seems to me that if 2) fails then 1) will fail too. I'll call Microsoft support and see if they have any suggestions as some of the settings in power management on Windows 7 are not available on Window 8.1.

The option doesn't show up under Advanced if you have "Allow wake timers" disabled in your Windows power configuration. So, click your Windows key, type in powercfg.cpl, hit enter, then "Change plan settings" for your active power plan. Then click "Change advanced power settings", expand the "Sleep" option, then expand the "Allow wake timers" option, and make sure you enable this (temporarily if you want).
Now close and reopen Acronis. The option will be there. If like me, you wanted to disable wake timers alltogether in acronis, go through each of your backups and select Advanced and disable the Wake option. Now close Acronis. Now, if you already had a wake timer set, Acronis won't cancel it, and if you re-open Acronis, the Wake from sleep checkbox will be checked again (don't ask me why). That's because the wake timer still exists (you can run powercfg -waketimers from an adminstrative command prompt to verify). To kill that timer off, reboot the computer, or simply go to your control panel, select Administrative Tools, click Services, and find Acronis Scheduler2, then stop and start that service. It will kill the wake timers.
You can then go back and disable wake timers in your power settings now if you don't want them. For me, this seems strange. Acronis and other apps are able to create wake timers when the "allow wake timers" option in power settings is disabled. Windows should not allow this, probably a Windows bug.
