Can the moderator give us an estimate of when a build of TI 2010 will be available that fixes the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) problem? (search the forum for "BSOD 2010" to see postings related to this problem)

When a fixed build is available will registered users be notified?

Good question... a date or time frame Acronis?

I'd like to know too...

Possibly even more galling that the BSOD problems themselves is Acronis' lack of acknowledgement of the problems and a communicated plan to resolve them.

I received my refund today. I'm done with this company.

Hello all,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

The issue regarding BSOD after installation of Acronis True Image Home 2010 (tdrpm228.sys) will be resolved within a month. As soon as it is available you will be able to download a new build of the program from your account under Registered Products.

I'm not sure is it useful information. ..Whatever...
Actually I observe similar problem with 2 programs: Skype (after 4.1.166) and Acronis True Image Home 2010. If I switch my Laptop from WiFi Intel Link 5100 adapter to regular wire adapter, everything works fine. Googling gave me several more place with Intel WiFi Link XXXX. Anayzis of memory dump after BSOD crash with Acronis indicated to WiFi driver as well.
But I'm not sure that Intel's driver is guilty. All the cases are connected with waking up. Could the cause of the problem be a bad synchronization these two applications with other processes after wake up event ? Or maybe it's rather a result of bad processing (or just ignoring) of sleep event?

I'm just glad to have stuck with TI 2009 which for me at least works brilliantly, it really does do what it says on the tin - well for full image backups it does. I really think 2010 seems to be another version 11 product. I also think that the Acronis Nonstop Backup feature is another gimmick doomed to failure, it either seems to be hogging system resources, swallowing copious amounts of hard drive space, deleting favourites from IE and generally be to flaky to be of any real use. What do others think?

Dmitry,

I would just like you to know that I too have this problem. Stop error 03b tdrpm228.sys system service exception with vista 64 sp2. As soon as I placed a smartmedia card into my reader I got the bdos error also.

I'm running your latest build of 2009.

Dmitry,
which build has solved this? I've downloaded build 6029 but am afraid to install, because of the posts on this forum about build 6029 and Windows 7 x64.

I have a very similar problem.
Occasionally I can start Non-Stop backup. But regularly it stops itself.
When I activate it, it almost immediately goes to a blue screen. I was running an older build so I upgraded to 7046 of the 2010 True Image product on Windows XP. BSODs just got worse.
Often the error codes were: 0X0000007E citing fltmgr.sys,
or 0X0000007E with nothing cited.
or 0X00000024 again citing fltmgr.sys

BSODs only happen when trying to start or check on True Image.
fltmgr is a microsoft service, no reason to think there was any problem there & no recent changes.

Situation so unstable I did an uninstall.
Then I had to search the forums to find out how to actually uninstall the program completely.
Only then did the random BSODS stop. System stable for weeks now.
Has anyone found a solution? Or should I just try to get my money back?

Hello all!

Thank you for your comments and for bringing this thread up again.

BSOD issue was resolved in the latest 7046 build, which can be obtained directly from your account.

Dear Glenn, issue you've faced was caused by snapapi glitch, and we have a resolution for it as well: SnapAPI update. I will send you the instructions via Private Message in a minute and would appreciate, if you could kindly keep us posted.

Let us know in case the issue persists, or you have any further questions - we will be glad to help.

Thank you!

Yana,
I reinstalled Acronis True Image 2010 build 7046. Then immediately ran the SnapAPI.545_s_e.msi update. Started NonStop Backup and it has been running fine for a day or so now. No time to really test it out but it is running fine and no crash so far. Will update if I run into problems in normal use.

Thanks!

Nevermind. Sunday TI NSB just started turning itself off. Then Wed BSODs when running unrelated tasks.
Same type of filtermgr error x24 etc.
Hmm, that's different. Machine/properties/hardware has that a USB drivers can't start?
I'm going to leave TI turned off and see if the BSODs continue.

Looks like I'm uninstalling all over again.

where can we download this SnapAPI.545_s_e.msi update please ?
Why does Acronis make this not available in an easy way (even as beta) for affected users ????

Hello Roderick!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here!

I've checked your account, and can see only the OEM activation license, which is a bit different from the regular Acronis True Image Home 2010 (modified version for vendors). And its BSOD has nothing to do with the one discussed in this thread, so simple download and install won't work for us here.

We need to check the cause of the crash. Could you please send me directlyCrash DumpAcronis Info from the problem machine would also be nice.

I'll be looking forward to your reply.

Thank you!
