Remove SCSCI Hard Disk Has Failed

Hello,

Hopefully some insight can be provided on this issue as I have been unsucessful in finding a similar issue on the forums. When performing VM backups they are completing, but with Warnings. When I the warning to view the information it says the following:

Failed to close raw hard disk data file '[md3200i-ds0] SERVER.vmdk

Hi Ryan,

The quoted error is mentioned in several threads in VMware KB and community. All of these threads are referring to problems with vCenter and the general recommendation is to restart the vCenter and check the free space in it:

Acronis Backup for VMware virtual appliance tries to detach ('RemoveScsiHardDisk') the backed up virtual disk from itself (it is attached because backup is performed in "hot-add" mode) and apparently there is an error thrown by VMware - the last error in the stack is coming from the vSphere: "A general system error occured: PBM error occurred during PostProcessReconfigureSpec: pbm.fault.PBMFault". However it looks like the disk is in fact detached properly from the appliance which is why it's a warning rather than an error.
