Netgear NAS Support?

There seems to be much talk about using the mobile app to backup to QNAP and Synology NAS systems, but I can't find anything for Netgear NAS.
Is there an app(lication) I can install on my ReadyNAS 102 system? If so, where can I find it please?
Thanks.

Thanks Steve. Will do as you suggest. Must admit it's no big issue for me, but just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something regarding Netgear support.

Hello!
We are not planning NetGear support currently but I will include this in our ideas board so that we could discuss it in the team.

Hello Renata, thanks for the update.
Does this mean that there is no way for me to manually select a backup location on my NAS if wishing to back up my mobile devices, until such time as an app may be made available for Netgear equipment?
Should I still go ahead and open a Support Case as advised by Steve, in order to add weight to the argument, or just wait and see?

Graham, you can only select a local drive location for Mobile Backups as documented in the ATI 2018 User Guide: Local destination of mobile backups
To change a local destination for mobile backups:
- On the Settings tab, find the Mobile backup location option.
- Click Change, then click Select location, and then select a new location for the backups. Note, you can select a location only on your internal hard drives.
So, you cannot even map the backup location of a drive letter mapped to your NAS, though you may be able to try to synchronise the mobile backup data from the local drive to your NAS (assuming that AAP doesn't prevent this type of operation).

Thanks again Steve. Yes, I've already been down the route of trying to map a backup location of a drive letter mapped to my NAS and found I couldn't! Does seem a little strange to me that Acronis won't allow this. It must be a simple thing to implement.
If I can backup my p.c.(s) to my NAS, why not my mobile and tablet devices to? Am I missing something obvious here?

Graham, there are key differences in backing up your PC's to the NAS compared to doing the same for a mobile phone.
The PC's will use either SMB or FTP protocols for the connection, whereas for the mobiles it needs apps on both the NAS and the Mobile to do the same. The app for the mobile is available and will work fine with the corresponding app on the PC but it is the app for the NAS that is the sticking point. Acronis have provided an app for a limited number of NAS models based on their surveys of what is generally used, unfortunately, this is not a complete list of NAS that all users like you and I have.
The ability to backup mobiles to the NAS was new in ATI 2018 so can only hope that the support for more NAS models will increase as Acronis release new builds / versions.

The situation is complicated by some NAS manufacturers who have multiple OSs, for example Synology (the code is different for each hardware platform), rather than a universal OS (such an Qnap).
Both Steve and I have Synology NAS that do not support mobile device backup.

I too wish Netgear ReadyShare was supported. Other devices in my home can connect to the drive attached to my Nighthawk Router.
Having to leave my PC on all the time so phones can upload data is archaic. My PC is on for very brief times during the day and therefore cannot be a backup location for my phone.
If this was able I would upgrade to 2018 Acronis but until then, see no reason to spend any money and just stay on the version I have.

I've just raised a 'Support Case' requesting they consider supporting Netgear NAS products. Can't do any harm!

I too, would like to have Netgear Ready Nas support.... I just purchased 10 licenses because
I saw PC, Apple and Mobile apps for Acronis... I used Acronis a number of years back and
really liked it... I did not look at all the details first and am really surprised that Netgear isn't
supported... It is very popular NAS. Do I need to open some kind of Support request or will
this post be enough to apply for support for ReadyNAS?
Thank You,
Phil Dalgleish
