This forum seems to have a weird redirect that does not seem right.
I have a bookmark for the ATI 2018 forum. I have noticed a few times that in Firefox a tab would appear for a second or two and then close. Today I was able to reopen that tab and this is what was in the URL...
This occurred when I opened the Acronis forum page. Notice that the forum web site is part of this long url.
Can someone explain this? With my high sense of privacy and security, this makes me uncomfortable.
I've never encountered or seen reports of such issues. May I ask you to share a couple of screenshots illustrating the issue and a link to the affected forum thread?
Thank you in advance!
I notice this about once a day. I have not yet figured out how to dependably reproduce it. Attached is a picture showing the tab, but what happens is that I see the tab appear and then disappear after a few seconds. I have the "undo closed tab" feature on Firefox so I can get the tab back. Since I have scripting and cookies turned off for most sites, there is nothing visible on the tab page.
It seems the URLs differ each time this happens, but they all have forum.acronis.com in the middle. Today's looks like this, different from the one in my earlier post:
The page I open when this happens is the ATI 2018 forum from this bookmark:
Hello again Ekaterina,
I think I have solved it. I found that it only happens once after loading Firefox. I also noticed that the tab title showed
discount.s3blog.org/addon.htm... before it disappeared. A google search quickly led me to the fact that the Screengrab! addon was doing this.
I don't know why it only seems to happen when I load Acronis pages though. I tried various other sites and it didn't happen.
Screengrab! has now been removed.
