Acronis Mobile fails after update to 5.0.3

Recently upgraded to Acronis Mobile 5.0.3.  When backing up to a Win 10 network PC, from Android Phone (Kyocera Brigadier running Android 7.1.2) I get the following error message on the phone:

"Expected BEGIN_ARRAY but was BEGIN_OBJECT at path $(0).lastBackup.links[0]"

All was well prior to Mobile update.  Cannot find a copy of the previous version of Acronis Mobile to reinstall.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Cannot help as I back up to cloud not local PC, and have no Android devices. The latest build is working OK with my iOS devices. However, backing up Android devices seems somewhat more difficult that iOS devices (see discussion Acronis True Image for mobile devices). Hopefully someone will be able to assist,

Not sure how your post ended up here; but strange things have been happening and for example if you posted in the Acronis True Image for mobile devices forum sometimes it ends up in this part of the forum.

I am running both versions of the Android app on two phones, one has the latest 5.0.3 version running fine, the older phone uses the older version due to the Android version.

I can only suggest removing / uninstalling the app on your phone, doing a restart and then installing it again to see if that helps?  Beyond that you would need to contact Acronis support.

Exact same error message here.

Acronis True Image version 2017 build 8058 - 'product is up to date'

Have uninstalled and re-installed repeatedly on Samsung Galaxy S5 cellphone with negative results.  Worked on and off prior.  I seem to recall it was about the time of a microsoft update on my Windows 7 desktop machine, but no clue exactly what changed.

Last successful backup is dated 12/13/2018.

Need help

Hello Everyone,

I've clarified the situation with the product management - my colleagues stated that the issue here is caused by the incompatibility of the mobile app with the old desktop versions of Acronis True Image. The recent build of the mobile app are expected to work correctly with the desktop versions starting from Acronis True Image 2018. My colleagues plan to add this information in the error message shown.

So as I see it, if users of desktop versions of True Image 2017 want to continue backing up their mobile devices, they will have to purchase a desktop version True Image 2018 or 2019, is that correct? If so, are there discounted versions to accommodate existing 2017 users for your change in the mobile app?

There is usually a difference between a new licence and an upgrade licence. ATI 2020 was recently released so that would be the one you need to upgrade to. Unless it is urgent, I would wait for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday as Acronis usually have good deal then.

The relative prices for full licence and upgrade licence (this is in Australia) is indicated bellow.

Keep a watch on KB 46984: Current Promo for when Acronis offer any discounts for upgrades etc.

What a crock. I puchased an upgrade from 2014 to 2017 for the mobile feature which worked once and it now is broken If the product is not woking as intended I expect a full refund or free update to what version will.

Hi Darrell,
Did you get any reply to your question?
Like you I upgrade to 2017 for the mobile feature, if it does not work under Aust consumer law they must upgrade or refund. Not sure if this is covered by your local laws.
