Deploy Fails

I have been testing deploying to a Lenovo ThinkCentre M910q. The master created without issue, but it fails about 83% in when I am trying to deploy the image on another PC.

The error is as follows:

E00140FA2: Internal error: Operation has completed with errors. {1}

    Error code: 0x140FA2
    path = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\SnapDeploy\Common\kb_link.dll",
    function = "??0RawInfo@KbLink@@QAE@XZ",
    $module = "patcher_remote_vs_1749"
    Tag: 0x665F1F51CFA70F32
The specified procedure could not be found

    Error code: 0xFFF0
    code = 2,147,942,527 (0x8007007F),
    $module = "patcher_remote_vs_1749"
    Tag: 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8EE

The master image is located on removable media.

Network Utilization is Unicast.

It seems as if the deployment server (a Windows 7 PC) and the target communicate without issue.

Please let me know what else I can try or if any other information is that I can provide that would be helpful.

Thanks!

Keith

Hi IT Helpdesk,

Thank you for your posting! The issue has been already reported to the development. Currently there is a custom build 1755, that contains a fix for the issue. You can find the link with the installation file in my comment here

Hello again!

So this old error has reared itself once again. It was resolved with help from support and a new version of Acronis Snap Deploy. I'm now on 1971 and trying to deploy to a Lenovo M910q and getting the below error.

Error code: 0x140FA2
    path = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\SnapDeploy\Common\kb_link.dll",
    function = "??0RawInfo@KbLink@@QAE@XZ",
    $module = "patcher_remote_vs_1971"
    Tag: 0x665F1F51CFA70F32
The specified procedure could not be found

    Error code: 0xFFF0
    code = 2,147,942,527 (0x8007007F),
    $module = "patcher_remote_vs_1971"
    Tag: 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8EE

Any help you might be able to provide would be great! Otherwise, I'll contact the support desk.

Hi!

Please make sure that all Acronis Snap Deploy components are updated to the same build #1971, then please recreate the deployment task and see if the issue persists.

Sorry for the long silence. Due to time constraints, I was forced to manually setup the PCs that I had and revisit this later.

I confirmed that all components are 1971, but also see on the site that 1993 is now available. I am updating to that version and will let you know the outcome.

Acronis PXE Server is installed but is not part of the 1971 or 1993 update. The version of the Acronis PXE Server is 41.0.1126

After updating, I'm seeing the the agent on the target PC is saying "This machine is booted into Acronis Snap Deploy Agent (5.0.1834). I think that might be the problem.

Hello IT Helpdesk.

Thanks for sharing the details. It is critical to recreate Acronis Bootable Media which resides on Acronis PXE Server with a new 1993 build in order to avoid old errors.

After deleting the PXE packages with the new ones from the updated version of Snap Deploy, I'm able to install the images like before.

Thanks for the tip!
