Manually Adding Files to Existing Archive

Hello, awhile back I created an archive of my photos to free up space on my computer called photos.tib and moved them to an external hard drive and dvd.
I would like to manually move more images to that archive, but can't figure out an easy way to do it.
For example, there is a folder named 2016 in the photos.tib archive that I'd like to add some newly found photos from 2016 to, then add the new folders 2017, 2018, etc., to the existing photos.tib as well.
I started to do a "reconfigure," but I'm afraid if I select the new "backup source" it's going to overwrite what's currently in there.?
Thanks,
Wes

Hi Steve, thanks for the reply. I have 2017 on one laptop and 2019 on another. I'm not sure which scheme was used as it was created back in 2016 using Acronis True Image 2017, and both of my laptops have since crashed and been rebuilt. Unfortunately, I couldn't get either to restore using my True Image backups and had to reinstall everything scratch...
Is there a way to find out which scheme was used still?
Thanks,
Wes

Wes, can you share a listing of all the file names for the backups you have as these will give an indication of which scheme was used?

Hi Steve, I'm not sure if this is what you're asking for, but attached is a screenshot of the path and folders. I only made the one "backup" and never added to it before. I think I thought it would be a lot easier to add to down the road, but probably used the wrong tool for archiving photos.? I'm pretty sure it was Acronis TI Home 2017, but could have been 2010. Thanks.

Wes, if your backup is stored on a DVD disc and is using the name Update-20160908.tib then I would suggest that this was created by ATI 2010, not by ATI 2017 as the name format was changed in later versions to always include _full_b1_s1_v1.tib type notation.
If this is your only backup disc, then I would strongly recommend investing in an external USB disk drive for storage, then restoring all the content from the DVD to your main disk drive and then creating a new backup task and storing the backup image on the new USB drive.
Your DVD looks to be around 4 years old already and much as these are intended for long-term use, I would hesitate as having only that disc as my only backup media as all media can deteriorate over time and lose your data if it does.

Hi Steve, thanks for looking into this and the tips. I do have it also backed up on a USB drive. The DVD is my secondary backup. I think at this point I decided to go ahead and extract all of the files from one of these backups, then consolidate them with my new photos and back them up again...this time paying closer attention to and making notes of how I am backing them up for when I review it again 4 years from now. haha.
