This is an issue with my client.

OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
Acronis Version : Acronis 11 build 17437 > build 17440

My client has set up the backup schedule as below.
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --
Full backup schedule: 11:00 PM on the first Saturday of every month
Incremental backup schedule: Every Monday to Sunday (except Saturday) 11:00 PM
Retention Rule: Delete oldest backup if archive size exceeds 1.563TB.

Commands before/after backup: Enabled
Command before backup: C:\oracle\app\cracle\backup\beginbackup.bat
Working directory before backup: C:\oracle\app\cracle\backup\
Command after backup: C:\oracle\app\cracle\backup\endbackup.bat
Working directory after backup: C:\oracle\app\cracle\backup\
Multi-volume snapshots: Disabled
Backup Priority: Normal
Suppress messages and dialogs during processing (silent mode): On
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --

And I waited a day to see if it was running as scheduled.
But that schedule didn't work.
(Unusually, the next backup schedule date has been updated.)
So they started the backup schedule manually, and it backed up without problems.

They tried the methods below to solve the problem, all failed.
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --
1. Removed Acronis 11 build 17437 with cleanup tool, rebooted the server and reinstalled it with build 17440.
2. Disabled the before/after backup command options.
3. Stop and restart all Acronis related services.
4. Deleted the existing schedule item and created a new same schedule.
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --

Additionally, they clicked Collect System Information to send me system information, but could not extract it with the error message below.
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --
Code: 14,745,602 (0xE10002)
Line information: 0xA9D27ED310C42D36;

Module: mms_vs
Message: Failed to collect system information.
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --

When I arrange
The backup schedule does not start at all at the scheduled time.
(No error message is printed because the schedule is not started.)
If I run the schedule manually, it becomes a normal backup.

What additional things can they try?

Hello Lemoning,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

Please note that a scheduled backup that was started manually will not run at a scheduled time (since it has been already launched).

Please check if the Acronis Scheduler2 Service is started on the affected machine: https://kb.acronis.com/content/32750

I also advise that you check the scheduled tasks with Acronis Scheduler Manager: https://kb.acronis.com/content/1859

Hello Maria,

Please note that a scheduled backup that was started manually will not run at a scheduled time (since it has been already launched).

Manually executed backups were performed at an off-scheduled time, and the backup was also completed outside of the scheduled time.

According to the additional information received from the client yesterday afternoon, the first backup (full backup) is automatically backed up according to the schedule. After that, incremental and full backups are not automatically backed up even when the scheduled time comes.

The attached file is the Acronis service status on the device.

Thank you.

Hello Lemoning.

Since this is a very old build released nine years ago, we can't investigate any issues with it. If the build of your client's OS released later than 2012-07-25, then Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 had not been tested with it.

As I understand, the issue started to occur after updating all Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 components from 17437 to build 17440. In this case, your client can reverse the software to a previous build.

Otherwise, we can recommend using a trial version of a currently supported & developed software Acronis Cyber Protect 15, and see if the issue persists there.

Hello Maria,

I had the same problem before I even uploaded the build.
(I just upgraded the build to fix the problem.)

Anyway, I've recommended my clients to test with a higher version of Acronis first.

I'll make a new post if I run into the same problem.

Thank you for your help.
