Laptop won’t boot after Acronis uninstall.

I recently bought a Sabrent Ssd to install in my Asus Fx517zm, they recommended to use acronis to clone my data from the smaller Ssd to the new one. All of that went over with no issues what so ever, everything transferred and after restart all was good to go and the new Ssd was now running the OS. However, I wanted to keep the laptop as close to OOB as possible so I uninstalled acronis, immediately afterward I began to have issues, my task bar disappeared and windows began to not close so I restarted. Now I boot straight into “this pc needs to be recovered” no access to WinRe, can only access bios. Both SSDs are shown in bios but can not be found using either EasyRe or a partition manager. Pretty sure my only option left is a clean windows install

Shutdown the PC, disconnect the data cable on the original disk, start up the PC, does it boot?

Am I correct in believing that the Asus Fx517zm is a notebook computer? If so, the recommended procedure is to remove the current drive from the PC (abundant caution suggest that you make a full backup first), then place the new drive in the notebook. See 2931: How to clone a laptop hard drive. It appears that the PC supports two drives, so first step would be to as suggested in the previous post. If it is a M.2 drive, you will have to remove it.

So I have gotten it sorted out now, the SSD was installed in the additional slot and OS was transferred to it and then removed from the other SSD without issue before the Acronis uninstall. I was unable to clean install windows 11 because of lacking IRST drivers and could not get it to recognize the SSD even after loading the driver with a USB. I had to instead boot into windows 10 and after updating everything I was able to upgrade to windows 11. Seems like my own mistakes alongside common issues with installing windows 11 held me back. Had I used caution and created a full backup before hand this would have been resolved with no issue.

So I’ve solved the issue. I did in fact install the SSD on the second available slot, transferred the OS over and removed it from the original SSD before rebooting and did so with no issue. I didn’t run into issues until after uninstalling Arconis and I’m not positive what caused it but it did corrupt the OS in the process. I elected to do a clean install of windows 11 as the laptop was brand new, however I encountered the common issue of “no device drivers found” and couldn’t resolve it even with loading the IRST drivers via USB during the install. So I instead booted into windows 10, installed the IRST drivers and was able to install 10 problem free, after updating everything through windows 10 I was able to then upgrade to windows 11 with no issue. This problem was a combination of mistakes on my part coupled with common windows 11 install issues. Had I made a backup prior to all of this It would’ve been resolved in an hour lol.
