Certain folders and files are missing from my backup
Oh my goodness. I've been having loads of issues with Acronis TI 2014 on my husband's Win 8.1 PC but I thought everything was fine on my Win 7 Pro PC until I checked a backup that I do daily in incremental mode of specific folders.
I've looked through Windows Explorer and Acronis Explorer only to discover the very folders which I specifically worked on over the past few days aren't anywhere to be seen in the backup files. They are specifically two folders containing an offline version of a website. I have also updated a couple of documents in another folder and created other new folders and they ARE in the backup. What can possibly be wrong? The program that I used to open the two missing folders is Microsoft Frontpage 2003. Is there any relevance in that?
Going back to these two folders, one was new and one had been there for ages. I didn't change anything in the old folder but I did have files open on it. The new folder was created since the start of this backup task.
The backup task was a brand new task created last week. The initial backup is obviously a full backup of the folders and the sheme is set to run 10 increments thereafter and store no more than 2 version chains. I'm only up to 7 increments so far and the new folder isn't in any of the increments or the initial full backup. The old folder was showing in the initial backups but disappeared from the increments after the time when I had this folder open.
This is really worrying. It makes the whole point of backup software redundant. I can' believe all the issues I'm having with Acronis TI 2014. I used to run TI 11 on XP and never encountered a problem with that at all.
Has anyone else experienced this? I need to know what I'm doing wrong, if anything.
