Product activation problem

Hi!
I just received the 64 bit serial nuber via e-mail for my registered program, but i vain copying it to the activation filed the activate button is still inactive. Please help me!

i'm downloading ATI 2013 HD from ADATA's website (after purchasing 2 ADATA ssd with key) from this link:

and after install i can't activate it, but the received code seems good. I can't find this version is OEM or not.

Have you contacted your OEM vendor? Have they provided you with a new download link?
There are two download files here. Which one have you used? Try to download the second one.
Unfortunately without login details I cannot follow your link and download the installation file to check, which version you installed. Please check it yourself: Help => about

I have activated and registered my copy of Acronis True Image HD, got the serial number and can go no further in using the software. Every time I try to open it I get the pop up telling me to enter the product activation key, but when I enter the serial number the activate button does not allow me to select it. Is the activation key different from the serial number? If so, where do I find it? If not, why won't my serial number work after repeated attempts?

Are you certain that you are using the paid serial # and not a trial serial #?
Is this an upgrade, or a full purchase?

The software was bundled with a hard drive, but it was a full version with a product key.

Anna gave you the answer two months ago. You bought an OEM version of the software, from an OEM vendor. Acronis does not control the licence keys for that software, the OEM vendor does. You must ask the OEM vendor for the correct licence key. If you cannot get resolution from them, I suggest you request a refund and then buy direct from Acronis.

Semantics. You received the software as part of the hardware purchase. It is OEM version, as I said. Contact the vendor.

I have the same Problem.
Yes it is also a OEM that i have recived with my OCZ SSD.
In other threats are some nearly eguale statements like hier.
Wath i would appreciate ist an indication like how can i find out from the activation key wich Version i need to install?
At "42769: [RESOLVED] Acronis True Image won't activate" Anna helped out. I know it was volonteer from her. But it seems that OEM Vendors have some problem to put the right serial key with the right prog together. How can we help our self?
It's anoying to contact first the SSD vendor to go on with our tasks. With an answer on my first question a coustomer could help himself...

Similar issue as other post. Purchased a ADATA SSD with a Acronis True bundled HD v13 free software bundle.
Completed the registration with Acronis and received a 64bit key by email. Doesnt activate!
Can someone from Acronis please assist.

I have the same problem. I downloaded the software. I registered the product, and got a 64 Character serial number key. I then started Acronis True Image HD. It asked for a key. I entered it, and the Activate! button would never enable. Why not? How can I move past the Product activation page?

Hello Paul,
if you are entering the key that you received after product registration on our website, the described behavior indicates that installation file and activation code don't match each other.
Please contact your hardware vendor to get the correct installation file.

I've checked your license key - it is an OEM version of Acronis True Image. I would recommend you to contact the hardware manufacturer who supplied the key and clarify the issue. Unfortuntately we cannot help you with the OEM installation, the support for these products is entirely provided by the hardware manufacturers as they are better equipped to understand the specific OEM application as well as the relationship between the Acronis software and their product.

Thanks to Acronis' special and unique version of English I ended up with 4 licenses. One was a single license and the second "purchase" gave me three more. I installed ATIH2016 on my 1st system. Now I would like to install the product on my laptop using one of the other three licenses. When I attempt to do this I'm instructed to enter my "installation code". Since I speak only6 standard American English I don't have a clue re what "installation code means in Acronis-speak English. Perhaps you could tell me what is meant by "installation code" and where I can locate the one for the licenses I purchased and registered.
I'd appreciate specific info rather than just a hint.
Also note that it's been more than 30 days since I purchased the product and am not at all happy with Acronis's messge: "Surprise, you will now have to pay us to tell you how to install your product." Really? It seems that perahps they should be changing their"Help" page to "Help -- - Not". Maybe change "Customer care" to "Customer - we've got your money and we don't care."

Jay, have you registered your Acronis products in your Acronis account on their web page?
If yes, then you can sign in to your Acronis Account and download a list of serial numbers for your products, plus also download the latest build versions of those products (installation media, bootable rescue media).

I purchased Acronis True Image 2018 directly from Acronis. I received my serial number and downloaded the product. I installed it with no problem using the serial number. I hit activate. Acronis keeps asking me to activate the product. I've used the product to activate but is still gives me the countdown (25) days to active it. I've been working on this for two days. Please help me!

Dick, you will need to contact Acronis support to resolve this issue. See https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153. Is your account setup using the same email address as your purchase email?

Dick, welcome to these User Forums.
I would recommend posting in the ATIH 2018 Forum for any further issues related to this product as this forum is for old/obsolete products and is not monitored as actively.
Did you upgrade to ATIH 2018 over an existing older version of the product?
Are you running the product and activation from an Administrator account?
I would recommend opening a Support Case directly with Acronis for this issue if you cannot get it resolved quickly.

I have installed True Image Personal V.2015 in a new computer running Win-10. The old one was win-7. I obtained the activation key from my Acronis Account page but it will not allow access the "activate" button which remains greyed out. Acronis no longer offers support for this version. Can anyone tell me how to get around this short of buying a new licence.

John, welcome to these User Forums.
I would recommend editing your post and removing your full email address as these are public forum pages open to anyone harvesting such information which could lead to lots of spam!
Please see KB 48380: Acronis True Image 2015: "You've exceeded the maximum number of activations for this serial number" to see if this will help with the issue you are reporting.
If it doesn't help, try reinstalling ATI 2015 using an Administrator account in case this is a permissions type issue.
You should still be able to get support from Acronis for this type of activation issue but when you go to the Support page, select this as a PreSales / Licencing issue rather than selecting your ATI 2015 product.

I can't move activation of True Image 2014 to my new computer.
I followed the direction to move the license, it always pop up an error message "Script error".
My new computer is running on Win10 system.
Could someone help me please?

Ryan, welcome to these User Forums.
ATI 2014 is not officially supported for use when installed on Windows 10.
See KB 56196: Windows 10 support in Acronis products which has the following statement:
Older versions of Acronis products
Support of Windows 10 will not be implemented into older versions of Acronis products (e.g. Acronis True Image 2014 or older, Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 or older, Acronis Snap Deploy 4 or older), as Acronis development team works on the current versions only. Stable functioning of older products on Windows 10 is not guaranteed.
See also KB 43955: Acronis True Image 2014: "Too many activations" Error assuming that you have managed to get ATI 2014 to install on Windows 10 which shows how to try to activate the product using both online and offline methods.

Although it's old, I've experienced the same problem today (bought a Crucial SSD and after installing Acronis it kept asking me for a 16 digits serial number...)
It was impossible to register the product on Acronis page because it can't have a short key.
After chatting with an Acronis agent, he told me that the kind of serial number I own (12 digits) was just for OEM software and that they won't provide support.
The solution was, after chatting with a Crucial operator:
- uninstalling the software
- reboot
- installing the software again
-reboot
et voilá :) the software works and it doesn't ask for the serial number.
It doesn't make any sense but it works...

This migration software registration is a joke. I have bought 4 drives form you and WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE BECAUSE OF THE WAY YOU HAVE TO OBTAIN THE KEY. At the very least you could have all 64 bits attached to your account after you login. CRAP SERVICE. Something that should take only minutes can take hours as you have to be emailed the key and its not immediate like it should be.

Acronis do not sell any disk drives, only software products, so if you have received a copy of Acronis True Image when you have bought a disk drive, this is an OEM version which is provided by the drive manufacturer / maker, who are also responsible for supporting the same and providing registration services etc.
