I have just run Drive Monitor for the first time and got a "Critical" warning for Spin Retry Count with the following details

Raw Value  16

Value  100

Threshold  97

My disk is a Seagate 3500320AS  500GB SATA and I ran the Seagate Tools Diagnostics selecting S.M.A.R.T and both short and Long Self Tests  which all came up as OK!

Where do I go from here?

SMART indicated that problems are detected with this attribute. According to the information available on this parameter, degradation of it is a sign of problems in the hard disk mechanical subsystem

The good thing that it has a threshold - and eventually, in case more problems will be discovered and Raw counter will increase, the Value will decrease . As soon as the Value crosses it threshold, the status will change to "failure predicted", and SeaTool will indicate "the drive has problem".
At this point you may replace it using the vendor warranty .

At the current situation, I would recommend to monitor this parameter as described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/11417, and ensure you have up to date backup - unless this is mission critical system and it often runs unattended, and you want to get best reliability possible out of it. In this case, it would be probably a good idea to move this drive somewhere else and install one without any problems detected
