I would like to know what is the best way to be sure that the backup or the image of the disk is good and valid. Just to be sure that I can count on it to do a restore, later
Hi Dan, validating the backup (an option within the software) will prove that it can be read succesfully. You can try to mount the backup and if that works, have a look through the contents. In explorer you can double click the backup and it should open. If all or any of these work then you can be pretty sure the backup is fine.
The only way to be fully sure that ANY backup will restore successfully is to actually do the restore!
