I downloaded and installed B7046 for both TI 2010 and TI 2010 Plus Pack. The install went smoothly with no apparent errors installing over the previous build 6053. I created the bootable media (Acronis Loader version) from within TI 2010. I then attempted to boot from the disk. It started up with the Acronis Loader message and then I received http://forum.acronis.com/sites/default/files/forum/2009/10/4772/errmsg… the error message in this link. Hitting error gives a kernel panic message. I then downloaded and built an Isolinux version of the recovery CD which booted fine and I could see all my drives and .tib files. I let my scheduled task run last night at 2:00AM using Chain2Gen preprocessing and shutdown.exe to shutdown the machine which is running Windows 7. This morning I checked the logs and there was an error. The error code was 0x000B03E9 followed by 0x00640005. The 0x000B03E9 error is found here http://kb.acronis.com/content/5140. I did a repair install to correct it and this also corrected the errors with the Acronis Loader version of the bootable media. I also did a repair install of the Plus Pack. After the repair installs I re-ran my scheduled task and the result was successful. I'll double check tomorrow after the scheduled task runs at 2:00AM Sunday morning. I also built and booted successfully a WinPE disk. I now have three different recovery disks for B7046 just like the three I built for B6053. As usual its always an adventure when updating to new builds with Acronis.

Does the mention of Sun Virtualbox at the top of your graphic mean that you were running within a VM?

No. I found that error message and copied it. It came from http://forum.acronis.com/forum/4772 post#9. I just used because I was being lazy.

Hello Tom and Seekforever,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
Tom,
We will try to reproduce the behavior you have described. Could you please obtain AcronisInfo file and send me a Private Message?
Also, could you please clarify the following? Have you recreated Acronis Bootable Media after the repair installation, or have you used an old one?
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.

Oleg.

The repair install has corrected the issues with the Acronis Loader version of the boot CD. I built a new versions of the Acronis Loader CD after the repair install and it booted fine and recognized all my hard drives. I've also tested the Isolinux versions and have also built a WinPE 3.0 version from the repaired installation. All three versions of the recovery CD work with my hardware. I've been verifying all my scheduled backups for the last couple of days and everything is working correctly.
Do you still want me to produce an Acronis info report.?

Hello Tom,

Thank you for your response.

According to your description, Acronis Media Builder has been somehow corrupted after installing the latest build. Since the repair installation solved the issue, let's leave everything as it is.

We would like to investigate the issue that the program has failed to update the snapapi.dll file properly. For that we need AcronisInfo file mentioned in my previous post from your machine. I will forward the files to QA Team for reproducing the issue in our test lab.

Therefore, please obtain the file and send it to me using Private Message.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you. Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.

Thank you.
