Problem with SQL SERVER
We have a service for backup via Internet for saving data and SQL Server database. Since i installed ExtremeZ-IP, we can't backup our SQL data and the mouse and keyboard freeze on server. We use Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and SQL server 2005. I just try a demo of ExtremeZ-IP and i must uninstall this demo now for work properly.
There is one thing to keep in mind: ExtremeZ-IP has an embedded web server that's configured on the Service Discovery tab: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ExtremeZ-IP/index.ht…. It uses port 8081 by default and may conflict with other web services if they both are set to the same port for some reason.
With the ExtremeZ-IP service disabled and a service for backup via Internet started, you can do a cmd line: netstat -ano -> C:\report.txt, open the report.txt in Notepad to see if any process is listening on 8081. If so, what is it for the process? Please use the Task Manager -> Processes - > PID or the following command to find it out: for /f "tokens=1,2,3,4,5*" %i in ('netstat -aon ^| findstr ":8081" ^| findstr /i listening') do echo %j %l & @tasklist | findstr %m
