Hi,

I'm trying to restore an existing VM on the same Hyper-V server where Acronis 11.7 is installed using this command:

acrocmd recover vm --vmname=MyTestVM --loc="D:\Backup" --arc="MyTestBackup.TIB" --password="qwerty123" --host=MyTestHostName --credentials="MyTestHostName\Administrator",password123 --service=mms

And get this output:

An error occurred while executing the command.
    Error: 0x1510008
    $module = "acrocmd_vs_50242"
    Tag: 0x7A8E520180FDC065
Failed to get the host version.
    Error: 0x21F0010
    $module = "abr11cli_vs_50242"
    Tag: 0x9B023CE0980AB1EF

Backup locations, usernames, hostname etc. are correct because when I change them error message changes accordingly. Recover VM from Acronis GUI works perfectly. Could you please advise me what can be wrong in the command line?

Thank you.

Hello Serge T,

Welcome to Acronis forums!

Please specify a full path (incl. server) to a storage location as in this example:

acrocmd recover vm --vmname=my_vm_1 --vmserver_name=Server1 --vmstorage="C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Hyper-V\Virtual Machines" --loc=\\bkpsrv\vms --credentials=netuser1,pass1 --arc="my vm archive" --host=srv1 --credentials="srv1\AMS user",pass1 --service=ams

Hi Maria,

Thank you for the hint. I added "--vmserver_name=localhost" to the script and it started to work.

Have a nice day.
