Cannot connect to 'localhost'

Getting the following error message when trying to run Acronis Backup Advanced 11.5 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard:

Message: Failed to establish the local connection with Acronis Managed Machine Service. Make sure that the service is installed and its status is Started.

Hello Herb,

Thank you for your posting! First of all, make sure Acronis Managed Machine Service is installed, up and running on the machine in question. The service might be stopped, if the user account specified doesn't have all necessary rights . Acronis Managed Machine Service user should be assigned these priviliges.

The article 26419: Acronis Backup Advanced: Connection to Acronis Agent Fails with "Failed to establish local connection" could be also helpful.
