Compatibility (for mounting) with old business/personal versions?

Hello *.*!

Does anybody know, which old versions backups can be mounted in latest version? My reason is: there is large library of customer backups, most of them where created with ATIH2010, recently some ATI2018, ATI2019 and BackupPC 11.7 backups were added. Up until recently I used Backup&Recovery 11 for viewing and cataloging the backups, but that does not work with new backups. The newest version, I am trying now, helps with ATI2019 and BackupPC 11.7 archives, but it does not recognize the older ones. :(

Is there any official "compatibility list", I can use for reference?

Hello AlexVK,

thanks for posting on Acronis forum!

Acronis Backup 12.5 does not officially recognize archives created with Acronis True Image 2010.

However, you can use e.g. Acronis True Image 2019 for mounting archives created with the same and older versions of Acronis True Image (Home) and use Acronis Backup 12.5 for mounting backups of the same and older Acronis Backup (i.e. Corporate line) software.

Here is a respective KB article with Acronis backups compatibility list.

Hello Maria,

then comes the next (logical ;) ) question: is it possible to install True Image 2019 and Backup 12.5 on the same computer simultaneously?

With best regards,

Hello Alex.

Acronis True Image 2019 and Acronis Backup 12.5 cannot be installed on the same physical machine (please see the respective KB article). Otherwise, there could arise conflicts when some modules and services are being used by both software.

However, you can create Acronis Rescue Media (e.g. for Acronis True Image 2019) and boot your PC with it when you need to restore old archives made by Acronis True Image.

Otherwise, you can install Acronis Backup 12.5 and Acronis True Image 2019 on different PCs and create a network share with old backups that is accessible for both PCs.
