Check that the correct serial number is being used.

Check that the agent is installed correctly on your systems and that your user name has correct permissions to access the VM and the Acronis Agent.

Do you access the machines via a domain log in? If you do, check that the MMS agent logs on to a user who has domain and Admin privileges.

The easiest thing to do would eb to run a repair install of your system, this may sort out the problem in one go.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I already did a repair and also a complete deinstall/install.

I don't understand why during the install the license could be issued correctly and when I try to reissue (change) the license later the error occours?

Are the any known problems with Hyper-V-Cluster-Nodes and the licensing with 11.5 ?

How are you trying to install the licence, via the text file or by copying and pasting? If you are importing the text file, try copy and paste directly, I've had problems with licence server enabling text imported serial numbers.

I have seen your error message mentioned before by someone else, but can't find that post.

You might need to contact Acronis Support with your problem.

Hello SmartCardMaster,

Thank you for using Acronis software. Please accept my apologies for the late reply.

I have checked your account and saw, that you have Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Virtual Edition for several virtual environments. Please be aware, that the license can only work for the related hypervisor.

You can import all licenses, but the related hypervisor only can use the related license. For e.g. license for Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Virtual Edition for VMware vSphere Standard will be only work on the related ESX(i) host.

There is no need to assign a license to the host manually. This will be done during the first backup operation for the hypervisor.

If you need additional assistance, please contact support. You can find your available support options in our Customer handbook.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
