Acronis Backup Error After Acronis Reinstall

I keep getting an error after reinstalling Acronis v12.5 Build 14330. It is installed on Windows Server 2016 Version 1607 Build 14393.5356

The error is - GetFeaturesLicensingInfo Error and it comes up every time I open Acronis.

I cannot enter a license key. When I go to Settings > License nothing ever comes up but a spinning cursor. No license key entry, no anything.

I do not see any errors in the Windows Events log that I can find.

I can click on all the different section links like Overview ; Dashboard ; Alerts with no problems.

Thanks

Hello Doug Howard!

Have you made any changes to the account that the server uses? If so see this post. As far as I know this is where licencing info is stored so it might be related.

Browse through the logs in Acronis program folders there may be a more detailer error message there and/or contact support about this.

Go to All Programs -> Acronis -> … -> Uninstall <Acronis product> => try uninstalling this way if the option is present for the product. If this does not work for any reason, please start the full installation file (executable) and choose the option to remove the product.

Hope this helps

Thank you for your replies.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program many times and still the same result.

The system is Windows Server 2016 Standard.

The software was working when I first installed it a couple of years ago. What I wasn't aware of was the key I used installed as a Trial instead of Perpetual. So when the key expired it wouldn't let me install a new key. That is when I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it.

I have attached a License-server log if that will help

Again, thank you for any help.

Doug

Hello Doug,

I've found the following information in our sources:

  1. If the connection goes through the proxy, try disabling it and remove proxy settings from the registry as described in User Guide,

You can check the proxy settings on the affected machine by running the following command from the elevated Command Prompt:
    netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie > proxy_settings.txt

  2. Make sure security software does not block Acronis Management Server functionality. Adjust antivirus settings according to Acronis Software: exclude program folders and executables from antivirus and other security programs
  3. Check License server log at C:\ProgramData\Acronis\LicenseServer\Logs. If you see errors WMI 'ExecQuery' failed, check WMI on the machine where Acronis Management Server is installed. Follow https://kb.acronis.com/content/62731 (I didn't find any WMI related entries in your log though)
