Can anyone tell me how to change the compacting schedule on a storage node?

I need to disable or postpone it for one of my storage nodes but cannot locate the setting.

In 11.7 this setting is available in the Storage Node properties.

please assist.

thanks

Hello pappy,

compacting task cannot be postponed or canceled manually in Acronis Backup 12.5 UI. However, it is automatically paused when a backup creation/restore task is running at the same moment.

I have registered your feature request, so it is will be passed to the Development Team.

Hello Maria!

If changing the schedule isn't possible, is there a way to force start compacting? Through acrocmd perhaps?

Compacting failed in my case because of a corrupted archive that I since deleted and now I'd like to run it again to free up space. Doesn't seem efficent to have to wait for sunday for it to run again automaticly.

Hello Peter.

I've found compact vault which syntax should be equal to validate vault

Hello Maria!

Is this a hidden command? acrocmd doesn't list this as an available command.

Regardless I tried to run it, but it's expecting a name parameter. No idea what sort of name does this refer to, or what is the expected format. Can you elaborate on this?

Hello Péter,

you need to enter Vault name, credentials etc. , like this:

acrocmd compact vault --name=[location_name] --host=127.0.0.1 --credentials=Administrator,[password] --service=asn

and it should work then, I used this command in the past.

Found it here some time ago: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-backup-125/compacting-deduplicated-vault-v125-advanced

Hey Lukas!

Thanks that worked. Apparently Bsp and network paths didn't work, but the location name as it appears in the web console does.
