Cyber Protect 15 - Bootable Media Creation License

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded to the latest Version of Acronis Cyber Protect 15 and tried to create a full-featured Bootable Media (this is a requirement for my use case). It is necessary to add a license key to create this type of media:

To create a full-featured bootable media, specify an Acronis Cyber Protect license key. This key is used to determine which features will be included in the bootable media. No licenses will be revoked from any machines.
If you don't specify a license key, the resulting bootable media can only be used for recovery operations.

Acronis changed the licensing mechanism, and replaced the license key option with customer portal management:

In Acronis Cyber Protect 15 Update 3 and later, no license keys are added in the local console of the management server.

Instead, you add the licenses to your account in Acronis Customer Portal, and then you manage your licenses in Acronis Cyber Protect cloud console.

How can I activate my bootable media without a license key?

Hello Grabenweg 68, thank you for reaching out!

To obtain your license keys, you can log in to your Acronis account at Once you're logged in, follow these steps:

  • Click on the user option at the top right corner.
  • Select "Order History".
  • Check the tab that says "Serial Numbers".
  • Collect the key from a valid license.
  • You should be able to add that license to the bootable media.

Please let me know if that solved the issue and this information was helpful.

If you need support regarding the keys you can contact the support line or add more details here ( Unfortunately, the file attachment is currently not available on forum, please use a third-party sharing app and send us a link here ).

Thanks in advance.
