We would like to create an vault (netwerk storage location) unmanaged with acrocmd.

There is an command in acrocmd : create vault. But it keeps complaining that "failed to open the backup location"

See also attached picture. What is wrong here?

Command used  (on Acrinos All in One Appliance, in terminal window):

Acrocmd create vault --name=ebrbackups --path=\\<IP adress>\backups --credentials=HWLPCN\user1,password

Whatever we try we always get error:

The vault is unavailible
Error: 0x9A000D
$module = "disk_bundle_lxa64_26172"
Failed to open the backup location
Error: 0x40002E
path = "\<ip adress>backups/"
user = "HWLPCNuser1"
$module = "disk_bundle_lxa64_26172"
CreateDir : d:/1066/enterprise/backup/places2/impl/utils.cpp(146)
The Specified file does not exist.
Error: 0x400011
path = "\<ip adress>backups/",
$module = "disk_bundle_lxa64_26172"
GetDir : D:/1066/core/file/unix/unixtree.cpp(1074)

What is wrong with this command?

We notice that folder/share is missing "\" in error message

username (domain) is combined together without the "\"

Via normal portal we are able to create unmaged locations (shown as SMB), same user name / network. but we have to create multiple backup locations. and want to automate this.

Hello Ludo,

Welcome to Acronis forums!

Please note that create vault is not a documented command.

If you want to backup to an unmanaged vault, you can directly point to this location in a backup task.

We notice that folder/share is missing "\" in error message

username (domain) is combined together without the "\"

We recommend that you type a path name as in Linux "smb://IPaddress//sharename"
