RegistrationAgentTool fails

My Acronis Cyber Protect (v. 15) stopped working, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it, but the installation fails with registration error and suggested that I try to use manual registration. It does not work:

PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> & 'C:\Program Files\Acronis\RegisterAgentTool\register_agent.exe' -s mms -o register -a localhost:9877
Failed.

I managed to install Acronis Cyber Protect (v. 15) when I used an older installation file (15.0.24600), even that had some problems as two services did not start and I had to do it manually. I wonder if there is a problem with the installation file v. 15.0.26172? I am using W10 version 21H1.

I need to study still why the backups are hanging or at least it is staying forever at 20% and no disk activity.

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

Please check whether the following services are started on Acronis Management Server machine:

Acronis Service Manager Service

Acronis Cyber Protect Management Server

If everything is OK but the issue still persists, please clarify how you did the uninstallation: have you selected the option to delete all configuration files?

Both services on running and I uninstalled with delete option. Actually I removed all files from Acronis folders and even something from registry (something I easily found).

I changed the destination to a fresly formated disk and recreated the backup job. I only get a 24 kB file on the destination. Nothing is happening. I even uninstalled the AV program.

I opened a ticket about my problem, but I was not able to include the sysinfo as it was much bigger than 25 MB. I have not heard anything from your support yet.

This issue does not relate to registering an Agent after reinstallation.
