SMBv1 needed to see network shares ??

Hey there,
well each time I want to change a bit in my backup strategy I think "why Avronis, why....."
I use ACP in a domain network (please remember: domain ! ;-) ).
I now restructured my storage locations and had to add some new.
No problem. just add a network location but STOP: no schares are visible....none....nowhere...
I digged in and found
https://kb.acronis.com/content/65439
So I ran the tool....
Result: no domain..hmmm back to the remembered information : I AM in a domain...really...honestly....there is an AD forest !
So I digged deeper.
I cannot believe it:
Does Acronis really rely on a protocol that is deprecated since 2014 (!!) ?
Does anybody at Acronis know, that Windows deisables SMBv1 by default ?
Well a professional tool that claims to increase computer and network security needs a vulnerable protocol?
Sorry for these hard words, but that´s ridiculous.
Yes, I know, that I can enter the UNC path...but is there no one at Acronis that tests this stuff?
How can they add a netwrk share as storage location with a disabled SMBv1 ?
Sorry...that´´s again a nail in the coffin of Acronis Cyber Protect....

Hey,
What is the status here?
Is my assumption correct, that Acronis needs the deprecated SMB v1 protocol?

Hello Sven!
The team informed me the agent of ACP15 doesn't use that old protocol.
I would suggest you raising a ticket with the evidences so it can be investigated.
Thanks1
