Acronis for DirectAdmin

Thread needs solution

Hi,

we like many others are moving away from WHM / cPanel to directadmin, do you have a plugin for it?

Or can we use Acronis without one? If so do you plan to make one?

Hi,

currently, integration with DirectAdmin is not planned. I've registered this forum topic as a vote for the existing change request (internal ID for ref CI-5019 DirectAdmin backup)

Hi there,

I believe this is going to become a very popular request. We have seen thousands of our clients move away from cPanel / WHM to DirectAdmin through choice (our clients have the choice of either platform).

Do you know if there has been any feedback on this at all?

It would be great to know if Acronis will work with DA as it is or does it need an interface?

Hello Everyone,

currently we cannot provide any ETA for DirectAdmin integration. I've added your comments as votes for the feature request, so that our product management can consider integration with DirectAdmin in the future. Thank you!

+1 for this. We are a shared hosting provider, and is currently using R1Soft. However we want to use Acronis instead. However we need a DirectAdmin modul so that our customers can login to our backup server and have access to restore files and databases without the need of contacting support. This is the only thing holding us back. I hope Acronis can develop a DirectAdmin module soon.

Hello James,

it's possible to back up a CentOS server with Agent for Linux https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/BackupService/index.html#33496.html which means all the data stored on the server will be backed up and recovered just like the regular data

Hi! Added your vote, thank you!

Regarding the API, we have the Acronis Developer Network portal with documentation, API reference and development access to the Acronis Cyber Cloud, as well as, Acronis Cyber Cloud Solutions Portal, please refer to the topic Acronis Cyber Platform – Developer Portal, APIs, SDKs and Samples for more details.

Please add a vote from me too!

I offer Acronis Backup Cloud on cPanel as can be seen at https://www.hostxnow.com/acronis-backup-cloud/. Still, due to the highish price for cPanel, I would like to provide DirectAdmin but will only do that if it DirectAdmin has Acronis integration.

I was just wondering if there was any movement on this?

i posted on Reddit a while ago and got it’s on the roadmap with no ETA?

Come on!!!

I'm using Acronis backup for my Directadmin servers and I got few clients asked me to restore their files because there no plugin available yet for DirectAdmin interface so they can restore themselves without need to pressure on hosting supports

Please please start developing plugin for DirectAdmin ASAP!!! we are pay Acronis license and it suppose to have plugin ready ASAP

Thanks

we would like DirectAdmin integration too.  We just started using jetbackup which now works with DA and works really well however we would prefer Acronis.

Could the "delay" be caused by a stakeholders decision to “kill” DirectAdmin?

People say the edge fund that owns cPanel and Plesk is the same that owns Acronis.

Will we ever see the DirectAdmin version?

Even so, I don’t know about you guys but we had already moved many hosting servers from Acronis to Jetbackup due to random server locks during acronis backup. It's good for small servers but if you have more than 100 accounts on it you start having problems.

we too moved everything to jetbackup in January and jet has a much better UI for end users however on large servers with 2k accounts jetbackup can struggle.
