Is there any way to get rid of this stupid 15 minute time limit?

The product works great, except kicking me off after 15 minutes. Why?

welcome to Acronis forums! Would you mind sharing more details on the issue? Are you using a free trial version or a licenses copy of the product? What exactly happens after 15 min of working with the product, any specific actions leading to this behavior? Thank you!

The 15 minute timeout is a concern. I can understand when the connection is routed via Acronis servers, but not when the connection is direct over LAN. It is also clearly a limitation that has been a conscious decision, Remotix, which this service is based upon (and created NEAR), doesn't have this limitation. Or at the very least it doesn't over LAN.

I would also have to question introducing arbitrary limitations when using protocols such as VNC that are predominantly open source projects. Whilst I'm sure legal, it seems shady.

Hello Everyone, 

The 15-minute is a built-in limitation of a freemium product which is currently distributed under the brand of Acronis. It would be possible to get rid of the limit once the full fledged product is released. We've passed this thread to a responsible product manager to review and comment.
