BUG: Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office Creating Paths to old backups that no longer exist at random
ACP has inheriteted a VERY ANNOYING and long standing bug from TI.
The program at random starts recreating the paths for backup files that no longer exist in the job manager and haven't for a very long time. Why it even still has this data is beyond me, there is NO GOOD REASON for it to be storing this data at all.
What I'm talking about are jobs that no longer exist either in the interface or physically on disk.
Say after a Windows reinstall you restore data from a number of jobs in G:\OLD JOBS\SSD & G:\OLD JOBS\E, you remove the jobs from the interface and delete the backups and their paths.
You create new jobs and all is well, but then ACP starts recreating OLD JOBS\SSD & OLD JOBS\E on the G: drive again, with no files in the paths they completely empty and serve no purpose at all.
You can delete the folders all you like, but minutes and sometimes just seconds later it recreates them again!
Any jobs running have absolutely nothing to to do with the old backup or paths, ie I'm not restoring to this path(s), trying to access anything from this path(s) in fact ACP shouldnt even know about these paths anymore!
Only way to seeming stop this happening is to completely vaporise anything acronis and recreate the jobs yet again! Hoping this time I wont get the same bug happening again (which it always does eventually).
Rummaging through the Scripts and Database folders in ProgramData shows indeed these old paths are contained in the settings for some reason, but without a means of getting rid of them without having to destroy all the jobs, it bloody useless.
Any way to fix this bug which also showed up in TI aswell?
