I did have 1TB NFTS partition (whole disc). I did run MediaCreationTool and wrongly select destination disc to create bootable USB. MCT did create 32GB FAT32 partition at the beggining of the 1TB disc. Rest of the disc is unallocated.

The question is: can Disk Director Recovery recover files from unallocated space of the 1TB disc? Or I have to use another tool? Many thanks for answers.

Hello Marián,

thank you for your posting! Acronis Recovery Expert (a part of Acronis Disk Director 12.5) can help you to recover accidentally lost or deleted volumes on basic MBR disks. You may want checking a free trial at https://www.acronis.com/products/disk-director-home/ Otherwise, you can use any third-party data recovery tool.

Depending on what transpired before the data was discovered as unallocated, there may be a method to retrieve it from the hard disc. Recovery is a difficult process, and success depends on a variety of circumstances. It also depends on the data recovery tools and utilities that are installed on the hard disc.
