Control running of ADM.exe

My laptop has a few USB drives hanging off it. Most of them are not being used most of the time, so of course they spin down and "rest". But ADM tries to keep track of their SMART status and spins them up every minute!

I would like to be able to schedule ADM to run once an hour or once a day just to monitor SMART data and get early warning of trouble. At the moment I have disabled it entirely and just turn the service on every now and then. Or I can disable scanning those drives in the UI and remember to turn it back on every now and then. But all that is clumsy.

Got a better approach?

(Windows 11, 32 Gb RAM, 2 TB SSD)

I was thinking maybe there is an INI file or some REG entries that tell the Acronis scheduler service how often to run?

As it says above " Thread needs solution".

Does anyone from Acronis monitor these Forums?

Hello Glen,

thank you for your posting! I'm afraid Acronis Drive Monitor is not developed anymore, we can only refer users to Acronis Knowledge Base and documentation for more information.

Oh well, seems it cannot do what I want, time to find another SMART monitor.

Currently, we offer Disk health monitoring feature as a part of Acronis Cyber Protect solution. If you have any questions about the product, please let me know.
