Can I setup Acronis Drive Monitor to notify me when a disk drive has reached a certain limit in regards to space. Say I wanat to be warned when the disk space has reached 75 percent, is this possible?
thank you for your posting! By default, there is no such functionality, however, you can configure sending alerts upon critical events in Windows Event Viewer. Acronis Drive Monitor allows you to specify which events from Windows event logs will be considered as critical for hard disks; and then the program will inform you only about such events in the Critical events page (see 3.4 Critical events of the attached user guide). E.g. you may want to monitor Error 2013 - Disk Is At Or Near Capacity. By default, Event Viewer may report Event ID 2013 if a partition has 10 percent or less disk space available. Here you'll find instructions on how to change the default threshold value to 75%.
Please note, that Acronis Drive Monitor has not been updated for a long time and thus has a limited OS support:
Windows XP (including x64 editions)
Windows Server 2003 (including x64 editions)
SBS 2003 (all releases)
Windows Server 2008 (including x64 editions)
SBS 2008 (all releases)
Windows Vista (all editions)
Windows 7 (all editions)
If you are interested in monitoring larger infrastructures, I'd recommend giving a shot to Acronis Monitoring Service.
