I installed “Acronis Drive Monitor” on my workstation but from ABR 11 server management the Drive health status is “Unknown” – why?

ADM has not been updated to work with ABR11.5 or TI 2013.

I don't believe Acronis are intending to do much more development in the near future with ADM.

I read from ABR11 help that ADM should work with ABR11.0
Is it not ture ? If so - what is "Drive health status" ?

Drive health status - the state of the machine's drives health. This field is set to Not available if the Acronis Drive Monitor utility is not installed on the machine. Acronis Drive Monitor automatically checks for disk problems and predicts when a hard drive is about to fall. The utility is free of charge for download at http://www.acronis.eu.

Thanks

Hello IT Team,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

I want to thank Colin B for supporting you.

Can you specify, what exactly you want to achieve?

  • What build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 is installed on this machine?
  • What build of Acronis Drive Monitor is installed?
  • Can you provide screenshots of the management console?
  • Have you seen this page in Web Help?

I am looking forward for your reply.

Thank you.

Hello IT Team,

Thank you for your reply.

I have investigated in this situation. Because Acronis Drive Monitor contains older version of used libraries, I recommend installing first Acronis Drive Monitor on the related clients and then Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. The affected product there is Acronis Backup & Recovery, not Acronis Drive Monitor. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi,
So, if I understand correctly, I need to uninstall Acronis drive Monitor and Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Agent Core.
Then I need to install again Acronis drive Monitor and then Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Agent Core?

Thanks
Ido

Hello IT Team,

Thank you for your reply.

You are right. You need to uninstall and install the Acronis Agent Core and Acronis Agent for Windows.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

I too have this issue with Acronis Backup Advance 11.5 & 11.7 with Acronis Drive Monitor 1.0 (Build 566). Has this ever been resolved?

Acronis Drive Monitor has not been updated for over two years now. I don't think any conflicts with the newer build of AB11.5 or 11.7 will ever be resolved.

What OS are you using? If you've moved to Windows 10, I suspect all bets are off.

I am using AMS to monitor 33 Win2008 R2 servers in our server farm and saw Drive Health Status as a column header and was wondering. This would have been a nice feature.

I am an advocate for all Acronis products and if Acronis offers one, I try to recommend others.  However as the support for ADM has not been updated in quite a while, I don't see the harm in this particular matter - especially since the recommendation is a free tool (there are actually several out there that provide drive health monitoring for free).   If you can't get this working, check out

Hard Disk Sentinel

I also use Speccy (same maker as CCleaner) for hard disk information as well as other general system information
