Dear Acronis Community,

we're happy to announce the Acronis Files Connect 11.2 release.

Acronis Files Connect 11.2 (Released: January 31, 2023)

Acronis Files Connect 11.2 adds support for the following operating systems:

  • Windows Server 2022 Standard & Datacenter editions
  • macOS 13 Ventura

  • Updated the Acronis Content Indexing engine to use version 2021.02 of dtSearch.
  • Added a warning in Files Connect Administrator, to be displayed on service start or volume creation when the SYSTEM account doesn't have Full Control access to the entire folder hierarchy of shared volumes.
  • Introduced the ability to select and close a few files only in the "Files Opened by Macintosh Users" dialog box.
  • New option to select and disconnect certain users from the "Users" dialog box.

  • Fixed an issue blocking the access to and search in files with diacritical Japanese characters in their name.

  • On non-English systems, the "Use current credentials" Kerberos single sign-on feature of the Acronis Files Connect Mac Client app doesn't work.
  • Kerberos single sign-on doesn't work on a cluster with Network Reshare volumes when using an Active Directory service account to run the Acronis Files Connect service.

  • Acronis Files Connect 11.2 is the last version to support the following:
    • ShadowConnect
    • Network Home Directories, as this feature no longer works on macOS.
    • Zidget dashboard widget. The Acronis Files Connect Mac Client app is supported on macOS 10.10 Yosemite through macOS 13 Ventura and customers are encouraged to consider it.
