Dear all,

I hope I can finde here some help to my issue, unfortunetelly my PC was infected with gandcrab what encrypted my 2 fiels:

arcoldr\ramdisk64.dat

arcoldr\kernel64.dat

These two files are in a hidden arcoldr folder. My question is possible to restore or somehow reinstall these two files? Or can I just delete is and the system will generate automaticaly new ones? Unfortunatelly I didn have any backups before the accident so thats why I am looking for another option.

Thank you for your information

Hello crimso,

Welcome to Acronis forums! If I'm not mistaken C:/acroldr belongs to Acronis Loader. I believe you can remove these the encrypted files and re-install Acronis True Image then.

I'd also recommend taking a look at Acronis True Image 2019 that besides full system backup provides your system with the constant protection against any ransomware attacks. If you already have an older version of Acronis True Image, you may want to consider upgrading to 2019 at a reduced cost.
