Acronis True Image 2019 - Does anti-ransomware require continuous backup?
I am trying out True Image 2019 and it has the anti-ransomware feature built in. I see that it stops the encryption process after it starts and it says it restores the files that got encrypted. I am having trouble understanding this. Does some sort of continuous backup need to be turned on so it has copies of the files that just got encrypted? I don't get how it's able to restore the files?
Automatic data recovery is possible thanks to Acronis' unique on-the-fly backup and recovery technology. The affected files are placed to a special hidden vault once the attack is detected and then automatically restored from there.
