Log files are consuming CPU and disk space!!

My C drive was running out of disk space and I traced it to Acronis Ransomware Protection. Here are the details:

Am using Windows 10Pro 64bit.
In the folder: C:\ProgramData\Acronis\ARPLogs the log files had increased to 395GB!!
Then I went into Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and noticed that the program is using 12% CPU and 2MB/s as write speed in that folder.

How can we stop this process and what are the logs for anyways?!

When I try to log into the app to possibly disable the log setting, I get "The backup service is unavailable"

I had to uninstall the program for now until a resolution is found.

Hello Vako,

the intense activity of Acronis Ransomware Protection module suggests it is monitoring suspicious processes. However, 395GB looks not normal to me. If you have time for investigation, I'd suggest installing a free trial of Acronis True Image 2019 (it has embedded module Acronis Active Protection) and if the issue reproduces, raising a support ticket for investigation.

After uninstalling and re-installing the program, it's back to normal now.
