Hello Everyone,

as the general troubleshooting steps to start with we'd recommend

- make sure Acronis is not blocked by antivirus and firewall as per instructions in the articles

Acronis Software: Making Acronis Products Compatible with Third-Party Firewall Software

Acronis Software: Allowing Acronis Products Through Firewalls

Acronis Software: Making Acronis Products Compatible with Antivirus Software

Acronis Software: exclude program folders and executables from antivirus and other security programs

- try to log out and log in to your personal account in the product 

- remove the backup task and add a new file to backup

- reinstall the software

If the issue still persists, further investigation will require access to Acronis cloud datacenters. Please contact Acronis support, so that our engineers can help.

Hello 

I have the same problem. Could you give us the procedure to contact Acronis support. It seems that there no possibilty to access Acronis support for problem related to Acronis Ransomware Protection due to the fact that this is a free product. Notice I paid for extra space...

PS I use malwarebytes premium as protection

You are right, support for the freeware products is provided only through the Acronis forum with the community efforts, but if you've purchased a payed Cloud tariff, you should be eligible for the technical assistance with the help of Acronis engineers. To open a support ticket, please log in to your personal account at https://account.acronis.com/ and navigate to Support -> Technical assistance. Under your Cloud subscription you'll see the available support options.
