Scheduled task is showing active but it is hanging for +12 hours and cannot be stopped.
Unluckely an immediate backup cannot be started, its scheduling the job only (queued).
Only a reboot of Exchange Server changing the status to failed. Afterwards it can be started manually.
Of course I do not want to restart the mail server when this happens.
I can confirm this is also happening on my server. I'm using a trial version before I purchase and it happened twice already. It will do about 20-30 transaction logs properly and then it stops.
Error logs vary from 'There is no information about previous backups or the backup is invalid', 'cannot bind with server' or 'member invoke failed'.
System: Server 2008 R2 SP1 Web, SQL 2008 Express.
After killing the Acronis Task Scheduling process it unfroze and immediately started the weekly full and daily incremental backups as planned. The transaction log changed from an empty progress bar to Failed.
Any suggestions? Please help me sort this out:)
