Very disappointed with SQL product

We purchased this product last year and after numerous tech support calls could not get it to work properly and have completely un-installed it.

I'm very disappointed in Acronis for their lack of support and attention to their customers.

The problem with the software is that in order for it to backup SQL it uses the C: drive of the server to create a .tmp file which is then stored on the target location. The problem with that is if your C drive is small and can not occupy the capacity of your SQL which is the case with most servers as the C drive is the OS and D/E/F are the data partitions, you will run out of disk space while creating this .tmp file.

Our server is a mission critical server and we can not afford for the server to run out of disk space. With everything we tried with support we finally gave up since none of their solutions worked and it kept crashing the server.

This is a huge problem with the design of the software.

You're right regarding the snapshot file creation: usually it's placed to the Temp folder on the C: drive. Still you can decrease the size of the snapshot file or select another folder as it's target location. Please refer to these instructions, they will guide you through the process.
