Control bandwidth for uploading to cloud?

I was wondering whether it's possibly to use the utility to limit upstream bandwidth usage, since browsing the web and performing other online activities is rather slow while a cloud backup is taking place. Additionally, perhaps it is possibly to vary the bandwidth depending on whether the user is actively utilising the machine at a given time?

You can adjust the upload speed in the advanced options of the backup task.

Hi Joey,

I don't see the above advanced option to scale the network speed to different values. I only see low, medium or high.

What version of Acronis True Image Cloud gives this capability?  Can I get access to the version you reference above?

Thanks,

Patrick.

Hello Patrick

This option is available only on Windows systems.

Thank you,

Hi,

I have Acronis 2016 with cloud enable on windows (8 and 10) and I do not have this option. When I do a cloud backup, my internet connection for my whole network is down. Which port does Acronis use or do we have a method to decrease the bandwidth use?

Thanks

Joel,

True Image 2016 doesn't allow you to enter a set bandwidth limit.  Instead it now has two upload speed settings Optimal and Maximum.

You get free standard support with your cloud subscription.  Use the link below to contact support and use the live chat or email option.  The forum isn't actively monitored by support.

I want to add a vote for a way to limit upload speeds durning business hours...  Veeam has this feature, veratis has this feature, heck even cheep desktop backup programs have this feature....

when is the feature going to be a road map? This seems like such a standard feature....

I can even find a list of ip's/sites to limit bandwidth usage in my firewall to...  is this posted anywhere?

Thomas, ATI 2020 has the following options on the Advanced page of Cloud backup tasks.

To limit the upload bandwith during specific hours you would need to use the Scheduling page for the task but the above upload speed would apply at all times the backup is run.

The feature is available in Acronis Backup 12.5 https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_12.5/index.html#41661.html

I agree that the ability to limit the speed is needed, this will allow better control, several loading processes
