Just created a new backup.  Acronis can find it but explorer cannot.  Where is it?

Frank, welcome to these public User Forums.

What version of Acronis software are you using here?  This forum is for ATI 2016 so are you using that version or a different one?

How did you create the new backup?  Was this from the main Acronis GUI application running in Windows, or did you boot the computer using Acronis rescue media?

Where did you select as the destination for the new backup when you were setting it up to run?  Was this on an internal, external or other destination such as a network drive or Cloud?

Thanks Frank for the clarification.

Next question, what does Explorer show on your external drive root directory?  Do you see any .tib files present there (assuming extensions are shown) or files with the name you used for the backup task?

If the file is not present on the external drive, then either it didn't get created or else was created but deleted afterwards.

The log for the backup task should help show what did happen here?

You can use the older log viewer tool to look at the ATI 2015 logs that is available via the Acronis Community tools link in my signature.
