Hello,

i want to keep just 1 backup version and i configured acronis to create a complete backup everyday and delete backups older than 1 day. The problem is that old backups don't get deleted. How can i fix this?

Andrea,

Please see the ATI 2018 User Guide:

Single version scheme

This backup scheme is the same for both disk backup and file backup types (except scheduler settings).

The program creates a full backup version and overwrites it every time according to the specified schedule or when you run the backup manually. In this process, the old version is deleted only after a new version is created.

This is the scheme you should choose to do what you are wanting here.

Hi,

does it work also if we use 2 disk for the backup? Example: we use disk 1 at day 1 for the backup then we change it with disk 2 at day 2, again disk 1 at day 3 so the recent one isn't always connected to the pc. Would it work anyway the configuration?

Andrea, ATI does not work well with swapping disk drives as you describe, though the single version backup scheme would have less issues given you will only have one backup file but even so you would get errors.

The recommended method for working with 2 or more backup drives is to create a separate backup task for each drive then run the 'drive 1' backup task when that drive is connected, and the 'drive 2' backup task for the second drive etc.

Hello Andrea,

current version of Acronis True Image does not support rotating the target locations within a single backup plan, but I've added this comment as a vote for the feature request (internal ID for ref TI-32805)
