Recovery says not last image in archive and stops me there. It is the last archive. How to get over that hurdle and restore my system. W-10 Home. Hp 6701.

Gary, welcome to these public User Forums.

How are you attempting to perform this recovery operation?

If you are recovering your Windows 10 OS drive, then you need to be using the Acronis bootable Rescue Media to do this, and not attempting to start this from within Windows 10.

The message indicates that one (or more) backup files belonging to the backup version chain being recovered may be missing or moved.  What files are present for the backup being recovered here?

See KB 58816: Acronis True Image 2017: Creating Acronis Bootable Media - and KB 59184: Acronis True Image 2017: How to create a WinPE-based bootable media for more information on creating the media.

When doing the restore of your backup, this needs to be done as a Disk & Partition restore and at the top Disk selection level.

Please see forum topic: [How to] recover an entire disk backup - and in particular the attached PDF document which shows a step-by-step tutorial for doing this type of recovery / restore.
