Can not see .tib files on wired network share

Thread needs solution

When I boot using a 2017 true image recovery CD or USB (with wired network) I can not see my share drive in "Computers Near Me" or "My NAS connections" this worked in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 but not in 2017, 2018 or 2019. I do see other PCs but not the share I want to see.

The work around is to click on "Computers Near Me" and then type in the IP Address \\10.x.x.250\ and the drive will appear.

My share drive is a Drobo 5N 10 TB running newest firmware.

Another un-related fact. I am running Windows 10 Enterprise 1607, if I update to any newer version of windows the Drobo also disappears.

Any help on either Acronis updates or Drobo setting would be helpful.

Darrell, welcome to these User Forums.

Please see the following KB documents that may address some of your questions here:

KB 58000: Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues with NAS Devices

KB 45527: Acronis True Image: Troubleshooting Network Connection Issues

One other point to raise is that Microsoft have dropped support for SMB 1.0 connections in later versions of the OS and this may be directly related to your disappearing Drobo if that is how it is configured to be reached on the network.

See webpage: SMBv1 is not installed by default in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and Windows Server, version 1709 and later versions
