Simply, how does Acronis recommend mounting ".tibx" files to view and selectively restore files (in Windows, or other OS)? I have searched all possible forum topics. If I've missed the answer, my apologies. Thanks!

Leonard, welcome to these user forums.

What Acronis product are you referring to when you mention .tibx files - from what I can see, these are not created by any of the Acronis True Image Home product versions that these forums are dealing with?

I suspect that you have an Acronis Business product that uses the Acronis Backup Service or runs an Agent for this service, if so, then you should post in the relevant Business product forum.

Please see the Acronis Business Products Discussions for links to these forums, including the Backup Service Forum.

Thanks, Steve.
I'm using Acronis Mobile on my Android. It syncs with True Image 2017, and creates an archive with the tibx extension. In my other versions of TI, there is the ability to browse the files/folders selectively. However, I was forced to uninstall my previous versions of Acronis TI to use 2017, which doesn't appear to let me browse the archive.
As background, I'm very experienced with Acronis products. I've supported and used them since 2004'ish. As I'm only now testing this android version, I'm making sure with the developer for recommendations, of course.

Thank you!

Leonard, thanks for the clarification of the product here.

I have an open case with Acronis Support for the Mobile Backup for Android with 2017 as I haven't been able to get it to work for me at all so far, so guess I haven't got far enough to see that the archives for this have a .tibx extension!

In this case, you could post in the Acronis True Image for mobile devices but the MVP's here look at that forum too, so you may get a quicker answer by opening a Support Case with Acronis Support directly about these .tibx files.

I submitted a request via email to support before posting this thread, and of course, had found the thread you linked. ;)  I'll post under the Forum you mentioned & see if we can't all get answers!

Appreciated, Steve! Good luck to you.

From what I can tell, Acronis .tibx (new format) will NOT MOUNT.  Only .tib (older format) can mount.  I'm waiting for Acronis to add this feature but it seems to take forever.  I'm going to force my Acronis to use the .tib because I don't see the advantages of .tibx.

The do not mount but you can open them in Explorer.

This may be fixed in the beta of ATI 2021 which is now in open testing.
