(SOLVED) Failed to read data from sector

Guys hi,

When trying to create back up i am getting following error:

Failed to read data from sector 4922328 of disk 1

Direct R/W operation has failed (0x590001)

Input/output error (0xFFF1)

I ran CHKDSK C: /R and did not got any errors

Here is screenshot from CrystalDiskInfo7_7_0 :

Adam, welcome to these User Forums.

Failed to read data from sector 4922328 of disk 1

The error can be on any partition for your Windows disk '0'  (Acronis disk 1), so depending on what your Source data selection is, this can be in a hidden / system partition with no allocated drive letter, so not found by using CHKDSK C: /R

You can attempt to give a drive letter to such partitions via Windows Disk Management, then run CHKDSK /R to the new drive letter.

Steve, thank you for your reply.

Actually "CHKDSK C: /R" solved it, my mistake was that first time accidentally i pressed keyboard key on reboot and it just skipped it.
