I often get pop up advertising from Acronis concerning upgrades, products etc.

I find these distracting, (and a bad idea!) I would like to turn these off, what's the best way to accomplish this.

Thanks

Hello Bruce,

I've asked my colleagues to exclude your account from the promo campaigns. If you are not signed in to your personal account in the product, please sign in as described in  https://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ATI2019/#33594.html The changes will be applied then.

Let me know if any assistance is needed.

Hello Ekaterina,

I also suffer from continual ad pop-ups from Acronis with no way to stop them.  "Don't show this again" doesn't work even when it is presented as an option, which most of the time is isn't.  Infuriating!

Steve's process above is too difficult and also seems not to work reliably.  Also, we users should not have to jump through such hoops to suppress Acronis ads, especially after purchasing a perpetual license.

Please also have my personal account deleted from all advertising campaigns.

Thank you,

Gerrit

Hello Gerrit,

sorry for the delayed response! Added your email to the list of exclusions. Please note that for the exclusions to work you need to stay signed in to your account in the product.

I too want to stop the popups. I am only interested in the "Clone Disk" and "Rescure Media Builder" features of Acronis True Image. If I turn off Windows 10 notifications and log off of my Acronis online account, will that stop them. One reason I chose another antivirus vendor was because of the annoying popups from Norton. I hope Acronis True image will give the consumer control of such notifications so we can turn them off if they disinterest us. It is currently a real incentive to look for another vendor to fill Acronis' shoes

I also want these intrusive popups to stop.  Surely, there has to be a better way, one that users can control, without needing to request on a help forum to have email addresses added to an exclusion list.  I shouldn't have to google "acronis disable offers".  It shouldn't be this difficult.

Me too . . . really sick of this push marketing.  Please exclude me from all this pop-up crap.

Behaviour like this drives existing customers away - totally stupid.

Can you please add me to this list as well? Like the product but don't want the ads as a paying customer.

Thank you.

Is Acronis nagware or software ?   Your constant nags has turned me off from upgrading Acronis.  There should be a simple switch to turn off the advertising nags.

It's really ridiculous that users have to ask "headquarters" for a specific exception to spamming where pretty much every other vendor includes either a "switch" or a method to script this.

Acronis used to at least include a (useless - broken) check box in the popups to make you feel like they wouldn't nag again. Now they are not even pretending that they might stop spamming us - the check box is gone. At least they are showing their true colors now. The only way to stop the nagging is to unload the service and back up manually. I think I'll consider the competition next time I need a backup program.

Can you add me to the list that doesnt want these pop-ups?

Software I have paid for shouldnt have nag-ware built into it.

Until recently I was not getting these advertising pop-ups. They are very annoying. There should be a simple way to stop them.

This problem also applies to other Acronis products - see 62404: Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5: How to disable in-product notifications. The solution there is not particularly elegant and probably has to be repeated each time you update. No idea if it would work with ATI, I have not tried it. I have asked Ekaterina if there is a similar hack for ATI.

Hi Ekaterina,  please can you also add me to this list?  As others have said it is very annoying receving adverts to purchase products I have already paid for.

Perhaps the growing weight of this request might lead to self-opt-out capabilities in future versions?

Thanks,

J.

Hello Ian,

sent your question to the marketing team! Basically, there should be a button Don't show again present, but looks like the latest promo notification is lacking this option..

Please add me to your ever-growing list of excluded names/emails as well - I've used Acronis products for well over a decade and this longtime customer is getting increasingly annoyed with your company's endless pounding with advertisements!  Just let us use what we paid for; if we desire an upgrade, we'll come to you.

I can't believe I have to come begging to you to stop spamming a paid-up customer; how would YOU like constant interruptions and popups from me?  If it doesn't stop, permanently, I'm going back to Shadowprotect.

But in the meantime, Merry Christmas!

Best way to get rid of the popups is to delete the program and buy a different one that does not have this rubbish!

I want OUT of these insanely annoying ad popups too, permanently.  So sick of you bugging existing customers and I'm going back to Shadowprotect if it doesn't stop for good.

Please opt me out of the advertisements.  I have the True Image and Cyber Protect products installed on multiple clients and it is becoming a nuisance to knock these down on a frequent basis.  I have also upgraded several of my clients tot he latest version and I am getting the advertisements still.  Thank you.

Could you get me off of the pop up messages as well please, unless the strategy is specifically to lose me as a customer.

James wrote: Please get my account removed from these as well, and wish someone in the management team would do the right thing and just turn them off, obviously annoying customers until they switch to a competitor must be part of the marketing strategy. Give a simple way to opt out, it is probably breaking GPDR rules as well about unsolicited advertising.

Exactly. Much like the GDPR rules, my country also requires opt-out and specific opt-in mechanisms which Acronis does not provide.

I uninstalled Acronis due to this behaviour. I won't be buying from them again.

It probably costs Acronis $100 to attract each new customer but $1 to retain existing customers. Really stupid management going on at Acronis.

This is the jokers ideas of how to respond when you ask them not to hassle you with pop up ads - bunch of jerks

Hi Ekaterina,

Please add me to the removal list.

BTY, you should share with the marketing/executive team the frustrating responses on the forum of paying customers that their workday and productivity are interrupted every few hours with promo popups.  Acronis needs to be more sophisticated and promote products to customers that don't own it.

Best regards,

Isaac
