Mounting a disk image

I created a disk image which I wanted to mount to a different drive letter in Windows Explorer. I pulled up the help file for this procedure and it said I should open the Windows Explorer and right click the disk image file I created and then click mount. After I do this, the help instructions say a mount wizard window is suppose to appear. This never happens! Any ideas why this simple procedure doesn't seem to work as advertised. Is it simply that they have changed the way the program works and not upgraded the help files. This is very frustrating for a beginner like my self. I noticed that the image file is expandible in the Windows Explorer to show it's file & folder structure so does this mean there is no longer any need to mount the image but it happens automatically by default. It expands under the original drive letter of the original disk backup which is the same as my running system drive letter. I'm trying out this trial version and so far to be honest I'm not very impressed. I liked True Image 11 Home which had a much simpler layout and found it much easier to navigate the features. It was easier and more obvious to find features and it used the same file structure system as the already familiar Windows Explorer. I'm running in windows 7 by the way. I'm having a hard time making the transition and right now I'm leaning towards not upgrading!

See KB 2768: Trial version limitations of Acronis products - the shell integration for ATI with Windows Explorer should still work in a trial version, but this should have been installed from an Administrator level user account.

Yes, the problem seems to be related to the fact I'm running Acronis True Image 2018 with a users account rather than an administrators account in Windows 7. I get the users access control window (UAC) when I first start the Acronis program and I can enter my administrators password. I don't get this UAC window however if I simply right click on the Acronis backup file in the Windows Explorer program and select the mount option. It doesn't seem to matter if I've already started the Acronis program or not and logged into it with the administrator's password. Either way, as long as I'm logged in with a users account, the feature doesn't work. When I logged in using the administrator account every thing worked just as described in the help files. This causes concerns because now I'm thinking there may be other still undiscovered features that are not working correctly when running the program from a user's account. Perhaps I should just simply use the administrator account whenever I want to execute any functions that are a part of this program? Thanks guys and Happy New Year!

Thanks for the update / feedback, glad the feature works when using an admin level account. I can only suggest opening a Support Case with Acronis to enquire as to exactly what limitations exist when using a pure user account and ask about how these could be overcome if no UAC prompt is being offered to enter an administrator password?
