Using ATI 2019 build 17750 it has repeatedly on it's own accord changed my backup method from differential to incremental.  You can see this in the screenshot below were on 7/23/2021 it changed to incremental.  Not only does it change the backup method, it also changes other parameters in the automatic cleanup section.  This unwanted change occurs fairly frequently.

Bernard, unfortunately this is a repeat of an earlier known issue being caused by the Acronis Dashboard servers resetting the backup task settings to Acronis defaults!

See forum topic: True Image 2020 -Backup option settings loss where other users have been reporting the same.

To prevent it happening, set the Acronis Managed Machine Service Mini to either Manual or Disabled startup - this service 'communicates' with the Dashboard!

I don't see where to set the "Acronis Managed Machine Service Mini" in either ATI or the web dashboard.  Where do you set this option?

-Thanks

Ah, this is a Windows service you are referring to.  Will I loose much functionality by disabling it?

-Thanks

Bernard, the only functionality lost is that of the Acronis Dashboard, so the status of your backup tasks will not be updated and you won't be able trigger any actions from the dashboard.

Personally, after having to reconfigure my own backup tasks due to previous dashboard experiences of having them reset, I have kept the MMSM service set to Manual ever since and do not use the dashboard!   The choice is yours to make until such time as Acronis get their finger out and stop these resets from being triggered on unsuspecting users!

Thanks, I disabled the service 4 computers running ATI.

Just one closing note Bernard, any new build / update to ATI will set the service back to automatic (as will doing a repair or new install).
